Mini-Biography: Born in Brooklyn, New York, Zainab Johnson is a stand-up comedian, actress, and writer. Early in her career, she honed her comedic skills by performing improv and sketch comedy at renowned Los Angeles theaters like The Groundlings, iO West, and the Upright Citizens Brigade. Johnson also appeared on the first season of the BET prank show, "Hell Date," which aired in 2007. In 2013, she won the first-ever Comedy Wings competition at the American Black Film Festival (ABFF). The following year, she competed on NBC's reality television show, "Last Comic Standing." Her career highlights include her role as Aleesha in the Prime Video series "Upload," co-hosting the Netflix show "100 Humans," being a voice actor on both seasons of children's show "Tab Time," and her Prime Video comedy special, "Hijabs Off."
