Mini-Biography:
Born in Brooklyn, New York, actress / author Bern Nadette Stanis is best known for playing Thelma Ann Evans on “Good Times.” Following her five-year run with the classic TV comedy, she went on to guest star on many popular shows, including “The Love Boat,” “What’s Happening Now,” “The Cosby Show,” “The Wayans Bros.,” “The Parent ‘Hood,” “Black Jesus,” and “Girlfriends.” Some of her movie roles are “Hidden Blessings,” “The Engagement: My Phamily BBQ 2,” “Caution! Heartache Ahead,” “The Adventures of Umbweki,” “In the Midnight Hours,” “N-Secure,” and “36 Hour Layover.” As an author, Stanis penned the poetry book “For Men Only;” two books under the title of “Situations 101,” where she discusses Relationships and Finances; and “The Last Night: A Caregiver’s Journey Through Transition and Beyond.”
