Born on October 3, 1975, in Downey, California, Alanna Ubach—who stars as Susan Bennett in the hit Peacock prequel series “Ted”—began her acting career as a child. She trained at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute before gaining early recognition in the 1990s as Josie on the science program “Beakman’s World.” Over the next three decades, she established herself as a versatile “chameleon” in both live-action and voice acting, starring in comedy hits like “Legally Blonde” (as Serena McGuire) and “Meet the Fockers” (as Isabel Villalobos). Ubach also played Noreen in “The Brady Bunch Movie,” Jane in “Clockwatchers,” Naomi in “Waiting…” and “Still Waiting,” Margaret in “Being Us,” and Jeanine Pirro in “Bombshell.” Additionally, she lent her voice to iconic characters such as Mamá Imelda in Disney and Pixar’s “Coco.” More recently, she has gained acclaim for her role as Suze Howard in the HBO series “Euphoria.”

Born on July 9, 1971, in Lowell, Massachusetts, Scott Grimes began his career as a child actor in the early 1980s with an early role in the made-for-TV holiday movie “It Came Upon the Midnight Clear” starring Mickey Rooney. He found greater fame starring in the cult classic “Critters” and the Broadway musical “NINE,” eventually transitioning into major television roles such as Will McCorkle on “Party of Five,” Technical Sergeant Donald Malarkey in the miniseries “Band of Brothers,” and Dr. Archie Morris on the long-running medical drama “ER.” A frequent collaborator of Seth MacFarlane, he is widely recognized as the voice of Steve Smith on “American Dad!” and as helmsman Gordon Malloy on “The Orville.” Beyond his acting career, Grimes is an accomplished musician who has released several solo albums, including his 1989 self-titled debut produced by Richard Carpenter and the 2005 hit “Livin’ on the Run,” which featured the Billboard-charting single “Sunset Blvd.” He also continues to perform as a member of the group Indoor Garden Party alongside Russell Crowe.

Official Series Synopsis

Set in 1993, the prequel to Seth MacFarlane’s popular film franchise finds Ted the bear’s moment of fame has passed. He is now living back home in Framingham, Massachusetts, with his best friend, 16-year-old John Bennett, along with John’s parents, Matty and Susan, and cousin Blaire. Ted may be a lousy influence on John, but at the end of the day, he’s a loyal pal who’s always willing to go out on a limb for friendship.
