In Memoriam: Tony Dow, the “Beaver’s” big brother Wally, talked about his beloved series and what he was doing after the classic show ended.

In the full interview recorded at Silicon Valley Comic Con, SIDEWALKS host Richard R. Lee interviewed Tony Dow about his start in acting, getting the part of Wally in “Leave It to Beaver,” his thoughts on another “Beaver” revival (and the theatrical remake), and working as a director and visual effects artist.

Mini-Biography:
Born in Hollywood, California, Tony Dow became known as Wally Cleaver in “Leave It to Beaver” and the sequel TV-movie / follow-up series “Still The Beaver” / “The New Leave It to Beaver.” Along with appearing on “General Hospital,” he appeared as a guest star on such shows as “My Three Sons,” “Dr. Kildare,” five episodes of “Mr. Novak” (in three different roles), “Adam-12,” “Love American Style,” “Knight Rider,” “Square Pegs,” “Freddy’s Nightmares,” “Charles in Charge,” “Diagnosis Murder,” “The Mod Squad,” “Emergency,” and “The Hardy Boys Mysteries.” Dow also became known for directing episodic television (“The New Leave It to Beaver,” “The New Lassie,” “Get a Life,” “Harry and the Hendersons,” “Coach,” “Babylon 5,” “Crusade,” and “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine”) and working in visual effects (“Babylon 5,” “The Adventures of Captain Zoom in Outer Space,” the Fox TV-movie version of “Doctor Who”). Tony Dow passed away on July 27, 2022 after a battle with cancer. He was 77.
