SIDEWALKS host Veronica Castro interviews TV host, author, and producer Shaun Robinson, who talks about her journalism career, her non-profit foundation, and being host of Discovery+’s “90 Day Bares All.”
Mini-Biography:
Born in Detroit, Michigan, Shaun Robinson is an Emmy Award®-winning journalist, television personality, author, producer, philanthropist and girls’ empowerment activist. She is best known for her years on the entertainment news magazine, “Access Hollywood.” Early in her broadcasting career, she worked for WGPR-TV (now WWJ-TV) in Detroit, Michigan; WISN-TV in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and KEYE-TV in Austin, Texas. With appearances on NBC’s “Today” and “Nightly News,” Robinson also co-hosted the NBC coverage of “The Tournament of Roses Parade” with Al Roker in 2011 and 2012. In 2016, she started hosting the “Tell All” specials for TLC’s “90 Day Fiancé” and its spin-offs. As an actress, Robinson played Kris Kensington in a recurring role on BET’s “Games People Play.” Robinson founded The S.H.A.U.N. Foundation for Girls, an organization that supports small, grassroots charities that are doing work in five key areas of girls issues: (S)TEM, (H)EALTH, (A)RTS, (U)NITY and (N)EIGHBORHOODS. As an author, she penned “Exactly As I Am: Celebrated Women Share Candid Advice with Today’s Girls on What it Takes to Believe in Yourself.”
