Mini-Biography:
Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Robert Picardo has been acting for decades, primarily known for his television work. After starting on Broadway, he went on to guest star on TV series and then for his starring role as Dr. Dick Richard in “China Beach.” Simultaneously, Picardo had a recurring role as Coach Cutlip on “The Wonder Years.” He became galaxy known as The Doctor, the Emergency Medical Hologram (EMH), on “Star Trek: Voyager.” He also a recurring role as Richard Woolsey on “Stargate SG-1,” and later a starring role on the fifth and final season of spinoff “Stargate: Atlantis.” Other recurring roles on TV, include “The Lyon’s Den,” “Home Improvement,” “L.A. Law,” “Alice,” and “The Mentalist.” Picardo has guest-starred in such series as “Kojak,” “Scarecrow and Mrs. King,” “The Golden Girls,” “21 Jump Street,” “St. Elsewhere,” “Newhart,” “The Dead Zone,” “The Practice,” “Frasier,” “Crossing Jordan,” “Seven Days,” “Ally McBeal,” “Outer Limits,” “Early Edition,” “ER,” “The 4400,” “Tales From The Crypt,” “Amazing Stories,” “Benson,” “Taxi,” “The Closer,” “CSI: NY,” “Smallville,” “Chuck,” “Supernatural,” “Body of Proof,” “Castle,” and “Stargate: Universe.” Some of Picardo’s film roles are “Innerspace,” “976-EVIL,” “The ‘Burbs,” “Gremlins 2: The New Batch,” “Total Recall,” “Wagons East,” “Revenge of the Nerds IV,” “Star Trek: First Contact,” “Small Soldiers,” “Atlas Shrugged: Part II,” and “The Howling.”
