SIDEWALKS host Cindy Rhodes talks to the author about her writings and her latest young adults novel, “Vanishing Girls.” The novel is her latest psychological thriller and first novel to address the notion of family and how our roles define us as a central theme, rather than as an ancillary fact, with a shocking Sixth Sense-like twist that no one will see coming.
Born in Westchester County, New York, Lauren Oliver is a New York Times bestselling author. She is known for her young adult novels like “Before I Fall,” “Panic¸” and the “Delirium” trilogy (“Delirium,” “Pandemonium,” and “Requiem”). Novels for middle-grade readers are “Liesl & Po” and “The Spindlers,” while “Rooms” is for adults. Oliver is also the co-founder of the boutique literary development company, Paper Lantern Lit.
