SIDEWALKS host Richard R. Lee interviews singer / songwriter Kenya. Along with the interview, Kenya showcases her two music videos, “Tripping” and “Must Wanna Be Me.”

A California and New York native, R&B/soul singer Kenya has been performing in church as long as she can remember. She has been a singer on various artists’ songs and background vocalist before emerging into her own solo career. Kenya co-produces her own tracks, writes and arranges her songs. Kenya has open shows for artists such as Jill Scott, Queen Latifah, Black Eyed Peas, Brian McKnight, Mary J. Blige, Jagged Edge, Mya, Kelly Price, Ledisi, SWV, Latoya London, and Goapele, among others. In 2012, Kenya released her first album called “Reflections.”
