Mini-Biography:
Born in Brooklyn and raised in Huntington, New York, Joy Mangano is known as one of the most successful product inventors of today, having created and sold more than $3 billion worth of product to American consumers to date. She invented the self-wringing Miracle Mop, as well as Huggable Hangers, Forever Fragrant, Comfort & Joy Textiles, Shades Readers, and other products. Mangano was the president of Ingenious Designs, LLC. On TV, she appeared on the shopping channel HSN. In 2017, Mangano released her autobiography, “Inventing Joy.” The 2015 film “Joy” — starring Golden Globe winner Jennifer Lawrence — was loosely based on her life.
