SIDEWALKS host Lori Rosales interviews Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood about Brooks’ fondest memory before making it big, Yearwood’s most request dish, and their longtime association with with Habitat for Humanity and working with President Jimmy Carter and wife Rosalynn Carter. The first part of the video features a brief portion of our 2009 interview with Trisha (and then-host Rafael Siegel) about Habitat for Humanity.

Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Garth Brooks is one of the most successful country music artists. He has sold more than 100 million albums and had more than 20 number one hits, including “If Tomorrow Never Comes,” “The Dance,” “Ain’t Goin’ Down (Till The Sun Comes Up),” “The River,” “We Shall Be Free,” “The Thunder Rolls,” “Two Pina Coladas,” “Friends In Low Places, ” and “Standing Outside the Fire.”

Born in Monticello, Georgia, Trisha Yearwood has had an amazing musical career. She has sold more than 15 million albums worldwide and had several hit singles, including “She’s in Love with a Boy,” “How Do I Live”,” “Believe Me Baby (I Lied),” “XXX’s and OOO’s (An American Girl),” “I’m Still Alive,” and “Perfect Love.” Outside of country music, Yearwood is a culinary star with cookbooks (“Georgia Cooking in an Oklahoma Kitchen,” “Home Cooking with Trisha Yearwood,” “Trisha’s Table: My Feel-Good Favorites for a Balanced Life”) and a hit cooking show, “Trisha’s Southern Kitchen.”
