The world has lost a comedic legend. Just barely two months before his death, host Veronica Castro had the honor in interviewing this gentleman who helped change TV comedy.

SIDEWALKS host Veronica Castro talks to Garry Marshall about his film “Mother’s Day” and working with an all-star cast, including Jennifer Aniston and Julia Roberts, whom he directed in “Pretty Woman.”

Mini-Biography:
Born in New York City, Garry Marshall is a successful producer, writer and director, who is known for creating some of the most popular comedies to TV, including “Happy Days,” “Laverne and Shirley,” and “Mork and Mindy.” He started his career as writer for such comedians as Joey Bishop and Phil Foster. Marshall was also a writer for “The Tonight Show” with Jack Parr. He wrote for “The Dick Van Dyke Show, “The Joey Bishop Show,” “The Danny Thomas Show,” “The Lucy Show,” and “The Odd Couple.” Marshall went on to direct feature films, including such popular tittles like “The Flamingo Kid,” “Pretty Woman,” “Runaway Bride,” “Valentine’s Day,” “New Year’s Eve, “”The Princess Diaries,” and “The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement.”
