SIDEWALKS Veronica Castro interviews Eddie Redmayne about his interest in acting and his biographical role as ‘Stephen Hawking’ in “The Theory of Everything.”

Born in London, England, Eddie Redmayne is an actor, model and singer, who is best known for playing Marius Pontmercy in “Les Miserables.” Some of his film credits are “The Good Shepherd,” “Powder Blue,” “Savage Grace,” “The Other Boleyn Girl,” “Hick,” “Glorious 39,” “Black Death,” “The Yellow Handkerchief,” and “My Week with Marilyn.” On TV, Redmayne appeared in miniseries “Tess of the D’Urbervilles,” “The Pillars of the Earth,” and “Birdsong.” For his stage work, he won an Olivier Award and Tony Award (Best Supporting Actor in “Red”) and a Critics’ Circle Theatre Award (Best Shakespearean Performance in “Richard II”).
