We are honored to have the pop music icon on SIDEWALKS ENTERTAINMENT. Cyndi Lauper (and her dermatologist) comes to our show to talk about her personal struggle with plaque psoriasis.

SIDEWALKS host Veronica Castro interviews singer Cyndi Lauper and her dermatologist Dr. Jeffrey Weinberg about Cyndi’s battle with plaque psoriasis. She is involved with Novartis Pharmaceuticals’ SEE Me campaign.

A Grammy, Emmy and Tony award-winning songstress, Cyndi Lauper is considered a pop culture icon in music. Her debut album, “She’s So Unusual“(1983), featured major hits, such as “Girls Just Want to Have Fun,” “Time After Time,” “She Bop, and “All Through the Night.” Her second album, “True Colors” (1986), featured more hits, including “True Colors” and “Change of Heart.” Additionally, “The Goonies ‘R’ Good Enough” was a popular song off “The Goonies” Soundtrack. Some of her studio albums were ”A Night to Remember” (1989), “Hat Full of Stars” (1993), “Sisters of Avalon,” (1996), “Merry Christmas … Have a Nice Life” (1998), “At Last” (2003), “Shine” (2004), “Bring Ya to the Brink” (2008), “Memphis Blues” (2010), and “Detour” (2016). Lauper won a Tony Award for best original score for composing the Broadway musical “Kinky Boots.” As an actress, she was seen in films “Vibes,” “Off and Running,” “Life with Mikey,” “The Opportunists,” “Here and There,” and animated “Henry & Me.” On TV, Lauper was a contestant on NBC’s “Celebrity Apprentice” and her own reality show, “Cyndi Lauper: Still So Unusual.” She appeared in guest roles on “Mad About You,” “Bones,” “Gossip Girl,” “30 Rock,” “That’s So Raven,” and “Happily Divorced.”
