Join SIDEWALKS ENTERTAINMENT as we remember the late Malcolm-Jamal Warner, best known for his role as Theo on The Cosby Show. We revisit a 2004 interview where Warner discusses his journey as an actor and musician, including his jazz-funk poetry band, Miles Long.



Mini-Biography:
Born on August 18, 1970, in Jersey City, New Jersey, Malcolm-Jamal Warner found fame as Theo Huxtable on the landmark sitcom “The Cosby Show.” His other notable roles are Alexander “A.J.” James on comedy “Here and Now,” Malcolm McGee on the sitcom “Malcolm & Eddie,” Kurdy Malloy in “Jeremiah,” Dr. Alex Reed in the sitcom “Reed Between the Lines,” Sticky in “Sons of Anarchy,” Julius Rowe in “Suits,” Matt Walker on “Ten Days in the Valley,” and Dr. AJ Austin in “The Resident.” His last roles found Warner recurring on series “9-1-1” as Amir Casey (season 7) and “Alert: Missing Persons Unit” as Chief Inspector Bill Houston (season 3). Outside of acting, Warner was also an accomplished musician with his own jazz-funk band Miles Long. On July 20, 2025, Warner died at the age of 54.
