Hulk Hogan (2008)
In this 2008 interview with SIDEWALKS correspondent Ray Alvarado, Hogan told us about his first time watching wrestling in person, and, as part of the promotional tour, he talked about the first season of CMT’s “Hulk Hogan’s Celebrity Championship Wrestling,” as celebrities (Dennis Rodman, Erin Murphy, Nikki Ziering, Todd Bridges, ButterBean, Trishelle Cannatella, Dustin Diamond, Frank Stallone, Tiffany, and Danny Bonaduce) try to become professional wrestlers. The piece begins with Hulk Hogan memories from previous guests Milena Roucka (ring name Rosa Mendes), Paul Wight (Big Show) and Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson.

Mini-Biography:
When many people think of wrestling, one name often comes to mind: Hulk Hogan. Born Terry Bollea, this wrestling legend is most famous for his time with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and World Championship Wrestling (WCW). His impressive career includes six reigns as WWE Champion, a stint as a Tag Team Champion, and six titles as the WCW World Heavyweight Champion. Beyond the wrestling ring, Hogan also made a name for himself in television and film. He starred in the action-adventure series “Thunder in Paradise” in 1994. Additionally, the wrestler starred with his family in the reality show “Hogan Knows Best,” and later co-hosted NBC’s “American Gladiators.” His filmography includes appearances in hit movies like “Rocky III,” as well as lead roles in films such as “No Holds Barred,” “Suburban Commando,” “Mr. Nanny,” and “3 Ninjas: High Noon at Mega Mountain.” Sadly, Terry Bollea passed away on July 24, 2025, at the age of 71.
