SIDEWALKS host Cindy Rhodes interviews the man who created and produced the long-running reality series, “Cops,” which is now airing on Spike TV (in the USA) with new episodes. They talk about how the show got started, the popularity of the “Cops'” theme song, and what Langley does outside of television.
John Langley is a television and film director, producer, and writer, who is the creator and executive producer of the long-running show, “Cops.” He made his debut in reality TV by producing “American Vice: The Doping of a Nation.” Some of the other projects his company (Langley Productions) and/or Langley is/was involved in, include “Who Murdered JFK,” “Terrorism: Target U.S.A.,” “Code 3,” “Anatomy of Crime,” “Video Justice,” “Cop Files,” “Inside American Jail,” “Las Vegas Jailhouse,” “Street Patrol,” “Vegas Strip,” “Road Warriors,” “Jail,” and “Undercover Stings.” Langley also produced/directed indy and documentary films, including “Maximum Potential,” “Dogwatch,” “Tiptoes,” and “Wildside.” Langley received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for his contributions to television.
