Serena Williams is one of tennis' major
superstars, along with her sister Venus
Williams.
Born in Saginaw, Michigan, Serena, her
parents, and her four older siblings (Lyndrea,
Isha, Yetunde, and Venus)
moved to Compton, California when she was four
years old and then to West Palm Beach, Florida
when she was nine years old.
Now in her early 20's, Serena has an impressive resume in the sport: winning a title in
all four Grand Slam tournaments, 26 singles
championships, 11 doubles championships, and an
Olympic Gold Medal.
In this 2006 interview with Sidewalks'
Cindy Rhodes, Serena briefly talks about how she
got involved in tennis, how she overcame her sinus
problems, and what kind of ritual she does
before a game. As part of the promotional tour
with
Vicks, she talks about
