"Grey's"
doc swaps stethoscope for magic wand in modern day
fairy tales
Actress Kate Walsh has become a household
name since appearing as Dr. Addison Shepherd on the
major ABC hit, Grey’s Anatomy.
The San Jose, California native, who was raised in
both San Jose and Tucson, Arizona, recently appeared
as Drew Carey’s girlfriend on The Drew Carey Show
and Norm MacDonald’s romantic interest in The
Norm Show. Kate also appeared in guest starring
roles on ER, CSI, and Law & Order.
Kate has also graced the silver screen in such
feature films as “Under the Tuscan Sun,”
“Bewitched,” “After the Sunset,” “Kicking and
Screaming,” “Wake Up, Ron Burgundy: The Lost Movie,”
“One Way to Valhalla,” “Inside Out,” “Anatomy of a
Breakup,” “Heaven,” “Three Below Zero,” “Normal
Life,” “Night of the Lawyers,” “Peppermills,” and
“The Family Man.”
In this
April 2007 interview, host Cindy
Rhodes speaks to
the actress about her role on Grey's Anatomy,
the potential spinoff (at the time of the interview,
there was no official announcement if the spinoff is
a "go" as a regular series), and how she and the
cast feel about the numerous catch phases such as
"Dr. McDreamy."
As part of the promotional tour*, Kate talks about
being the narrator and a character in a new series
of Caress webisodes that put a new spin on the
classic fairy tales “Cinderella” and “Beauty and The
Beast.”
