- NEW! Kate's Winning Hair Style at the 2009 Emmys® (Part 2)

- 2007 Interview

Actress Kate Walsh has become a household name since appearing as Dr. Addison Shepherd on ABC's Grey’s Anatomy and spinoff Private Practice.

The San Jose, California native, who was raised in both San Jose and Tucson, Arizona, recently appeared as Drew Carey’s girlfriend on The Drew Carey Show and Norm MacDonald’s romantic interest in The Norm Show. Kate also appeared in guest starring roles on ER, CSI, and Law & Order.

Kate has also graced the silver screen in such feature films as “Under the Tuscan Sun,” “Bewitched,” “After the Sunset,” “Kicking and Screaming,” “Wake Up, Ron Burgundy: The Lost Movie,” “One Way to Valhalla,” “Inside Out,” “Anatomy of a Breakup,” “Heaven,” “Three Below Zero,” “Normal Life,” “Night of the Lawyers,” “Peppermills,” and “The Family Man.”

In the edited September 2009 interview with host Rafael Siegel, Kate talked about having a comedy background and which cast member is funny on the set of Private Practice. Additionally, Kate told us about teaming with Suave and having viewers picked which hairstyle she would be donning during the the 2009 Emmy Awards®. (Sidewalks will have images following the Emmys).

In the April 2007 interview, host C
indy Rhodes spoke to the actress about her role on Grey's Anatomy, the potential spinoff (at the time of the interview, there was no official announcement if the spinoff is a "go" as a regular series and Kate didn't even know the show title until Cindy told her), and how she and the cast feel about the numerous catch phases such as "Dr. McDreamy." As part of the promotional tour*, Kate talked about being the narrator and a character in a new series of Caress webisodes that put a new spin on the classic fairy tales “Cinderella” and “Beauty and The Beast.”
