Henry Winkler (2010) Interviewed by SIDEWALKS
special correspondent Ray Alvarado, Henry talks
about his feelings toward his iconic character of
The Fonz and the Happy Days show; working
with Adam Sandler in "Waterboy"; and being
a co-author of the “Hank Zipzer” children’s book series.
Additionally, he gives career advice for aspiring actors.
As part of the promotional tour, Henry tells us
about his involvement with the “Open Arms" campaign
to raise awareness for upper limb spasticity.
Mini-Biography
Born in Manhattan, New York, Henry Winkler is
an actor, producer, director and author.
He is, of course, best known to the world as the
coolest character in TV history, The Fonz. Henry
portrayed Arthur Fonzarelli for 10 seasons on the
classic series, Happy Days, where he won two
Golden Globe® awards and three Emmy® nominations.
Since Happy Days, Henry, who has a star on
the Hollywood Walk of Fame, has remained a prolific
presence in the entertainment industry. He has
starred in numerous film and television roles
including comedy series Arrested Development
and Out of Practice and films "The Waterboy,"
"Little Nicky," "Click," and "You Don't Mess with
the Zohan."
He has also produced many successful television
series such as MacGyver and Hollywood
Squares He is also a co-writer of the
“Hank Zipzer” children’s book series.
