REO performs hit song `Can't Fight This
Feeling` on Sidewalks interview
Originally formed by students attending the
University of Illinois in the fall of 1967, REO
Speedwagon is a hard rock / pop band that had
several hits, especially in the 80's, with titles
such as "Keep On Loving You" and "Can't Fight This
Feeling."
In the fall of 1980, REO Speedwagon released their
most commercially successful album, "Hi Infidelity,"
which also included "Take It on the Run."
Kevin Cronin is the lead vocalist/ rhythm
guitarist / occasional pianist. He first joined REO
Speedwagon in 1972 for the album "R.E.O./T.W.O." on
which he wrote three tracks, including "Music Man."
Kevin also wrote the group's #1 hits, "Keep On
Loving You" (1981) and "Can't Fight This Feeling"
(1985). On TV, Kevin was a celebrity contestant on
Don't Forget the Lyrics! and has appeared on
infomercials for TimeLife products.
Bruce Hall is the bass guitarist for REO
Speedwagon. He joined the band after the You Get
What You Play For tour. His first track written for
REO was "Lost In A Dream" in 1974. Bruce was lead
vocalist on a couple of the band's songs, including
"Someone Tonight," "Born to Love You, and "Back on
the Road Again."
Since 1995, REO Speedwagon has released over a dozen
compilation albums featuring greatest hits,
including 1999's "The Ballads." The group joined
Styx in the CD and live concert video, "Arch Allies:
Live at Riverport." In 2007, REO Speedwagon debuted
their fifteenth studio album called "Find Your Own
Way Home," which is a self-financed CD.

Speedwagon and, as part of the promotional tour, the
DVD / Blu-ray released of "Horton Hears A Who",
which features the song "Can't Fight This Feeling."

version of their hit song.
