She is the daughter of actor Eric Roberts and
the niece of actress Julia Roberts, but to
kids and teens around the world, Emma Roberts
is known as the actress from Unfabulous,
"Aquamarine," and "Nancy Drew."
Born in Rhinebeck, New York, Emma began her career
at the age of nine appearing as Johnny Depp's
daughter in the 2001 film, "Blow." In 2004, at age
thirteen, she became a cast member of the
Nickelodeon series Unfabulous, playing lead
character Addie Singer for three seasons.
In 2006, Emma returned to the big screen in
"Aquamarine," co-starring Sara Paxton and
singer JoJo. Other film roles include:
"BigLove," "Grand Champion," and "Spymate."
In this
five-minute
June 2007 interview, host Rafael Siegel speaks to
the young 16-year old startlet about having a famous
family in the business, being a role model to teens,
and starring in the Warner Bros. feature film,
"Nancy Drew," in which she was promoting at that
time.
In addition to the exclusive interview,
Sidewalks recorded part of a Q&A session with
Emma, who appeared in front
of hundreds of screaming teens at Cooley Middle
School in Roseville, California. KMAX-TV's Mark S.
Allen was the master of ceremony of the event.
