Interviewed by host Cindy Rhodes, Martina talks about growing up in a small town, getting started in the music business and being a mentor on American Idol. As part of the promotional tour, Martina has teamed up with Cheerios® in a campaign  to motivate women to take care of their hearts, so that they can continue to do what they love.


Mini-Biography
Born in Sharon, Kansas, Martina McBride is a popular country music artist, who has sold 16 million albums worldwide, has 50 singles on the county music charts and is an 11 time Grammy® nominee.

She began her singing career with local bands until she moved to Nashville. Martina signed with RCA Records in 1991 and released the album, "The Way I Am," just two years later. Other album titles include: "The Way That I Am," "Wild Angels," "Evolution," "Emotion," "Martina," "Timeless," "Waking Up Laughing," and "Shine," as well as a Christmas and Greatest Hits CDs.

Martina has won several awards from the Academy of Country Music, Country Music Association, a Grammy and an American Music Award.

She lives in Nashville with her husband John and their three daughters, Delaney, Emma and Ava.
