Isaac returns to `Sidewalks` to talk about fashion and his new web
series
Born in Brooklyn, New York, Isaac Mizrahi's
passion for design began at early age. As the son of
a children's clothing manufacturer and a
fashion-obsessed mom, Isaac was always encouraged to
express his artistic flair. Isaac studied acting at
the High School of Performing Arts and fashion
design at Parsons.
Isaac has created costumes for movies, theatre,
dance and opera in collaboration with Mark Morris,
Twyla Tharp, Mikhail Baryshnikov and The Roundabout
Theatre Company among others. In 2002, Isaac
received the Drama Desk Award for his costume
designs for The Women. Most recently, he made his
costume design debut at the New York Metropolitan
Opera with Orfeo ed Euridice.
Isaac appeared on various award pre-shows and TV
programs, including having
his own talk shows on Oxygen and Style. He is writing his first
book, "How to Have Style," available fall 2008.
In this 2008 interview with host Cindy Rhodes, Isaac
talks about his fashion career and shooting his new web show, which can be
seen at
