Demetri on his first major big screen
acting role
Born in New York City, New York, Demetri Martin
is a standup comedian, writer, and actor.
He got his big break on Comedy Central's Premium
Blend comedy series, and later his own comedy
special for that network in 2004.
Demerti was also a writer for NBC's Late Night
with Conan O'Brien. In 2005, he became a
contributor on The Daily Show with Jon
Stewart.
In 2006, Demetri recorded a comedy CD/DVD called
"These Are Jokes."
In 2009, he had a small role in the film, "The
Rocker." Also in that same year, his sketch-variety
series, Important Things with Demetri Martin,
premiered on Comedy Central. The show has been
renewed for a second season.
