When she was in her junior year at Stanford,
Nya Jade was hit by a speeding car. She
suffered a dislocated shoulder, along with
injuries to her head, back, and knees, but this
singer / songwriter overcame the horrifying
incident.
Fully recovered, Nya and her band have been the
opening acts for The Dave Matthews Band, Maroon
5, Switchfoot, Evanescence and The Donnas. She
has been performing in various clubs and is
preparing for the release of her first album, "My Denial."
In the three-part interview taped at the Red
Devil Lounge in San Francisco with host Rafael
Siegel, Nya talks about her debut CD, how she
used the guitar as physical therapy, and why she
started her own record label, Katako Records.
