Richard Hatch returns for his second
appearance on `Sidewalks`
Born in Santa
Monica, California, actor Richard Hatch is
best known as Captain Apollo in the original sci-fi
series, Battlestar Galactica.
Before Galactica, Richard replaced Michael Douglas'
character as the new partner to Lt. Stone (Karl
Malden) on the fifth (and final) season of The Streets of San Francisco.
Richard's other TV series and film roles include:
All My
Children, Santa Barbara, "The Ghost" and "Deadman Curve."
He has appeared in plays and musicals, including "P.S., Your Cat is
Dead," "Pepper Street" and "The Name Game."
Additionally, Richard lectures and conducts
workshops around the world on self-expression,
communication, and acting.
He has authored several Battlestar Galactica
books and was one of the leaders in starting a
revival of the classic series, which, ultimately,
went toward a "re-imagined" version on the Sci-Fi
Channel instead of a continuation. Although his
version never materialized, Richard joined the cast
of the new series in the recurring role of Tom Zarek.
In the 2007 interview taped at
WonderCon,
Richard talks to host Rafael Siegel about the status
of his "continuation" version of Battlestar
Galactica and his own current sci-fi project,
The Great War of Magellan.
