"Make It Work" and
"Carry On" with "Project Runway's" Tim Gunn
As the mentor to the designers on Project Runway,
Tim Gunn, along with co-star supermodel
Heidi Klum, has made the Bravo reality show one
of the most popular shows in the United States.
Tim was also the chair of fashion design for Parsons
The New School for Design. Currently, besides
appearing on Project Runway, Tim is hosting
his own Bravo show, Tim Gunn’s Guide to Style,
which is based on his book, “Tim Gunn: A Guide to
Quality, Taste & Style.” In February 2007, Tim
left his post at Parsons to join Liz Claiborne, Inc.
as chief creative officer.
In this
April 2007 interview, host Cindy
Rhodes speaks Tim
about getting his start in fashion, the success of
Project Runway, his own TV show and book, and
working for Liz Claiborne.
As part of the promotional tour*, Tim talks about
Second Annual Summer Salad Fashion Show and a
contest that gives viewers the opportunity to submit
their own favorite salad recipes in the “What’s Your
Salad Style?” competition. Two winners will be
chosen to see their recipes brought to life as
ready-to-wear fashions, using real fruits and
vegetables at the fashion show in New York City on
Thursday, May 17, 2007.
