Born in Colombia and
moved to the United States at the age of fifteen
to go to school,
Nina Garcia
got her start in the fashion industry in the
early '90s. She worked in the public relations
departments of Perry Ellis and its then-designer,
Marc Jacobs. Later, Nina was the Assistant
Stylist and Market Editor for Mirabella
Magazine. In 2000, she became the Fashion
Director for ELLE.
Nina is currently known to TV audiences as one
of the judges on Bravo's hit series, Project
Runway.
In this 2006 interview with host Cindy Rhodes,
Nina talks about the TV show, as well as host
Heidi Klum. As part of the promotional tour,
Nina, who was videotaped in Las Vegas, shows us
some fall fashion.
