Renowned actor wants viewers
to learn about Alzheimer
Born in New York City, actor Hector Elizondo
has had starring roles in more than a hundred hit
movies and TV shows.
On the big screen, he has been in such films as
"Pretty Woman," "Nothing In Common," "The Flamingo
Kid," "Necessary Roughness," "Beverly Hills Cop
III," and "Frankie and Johnny." Additionally, Hector
has been playing Joe, the head of the Queen's
security service (and future husband of the Queen)
in "The Princess Diaries" and "The Princess Diaries
2: Royal Engagement."
On TV, some of Hector's guest-starring roles,
include All in the Family, a.k.a. Pablo,
Kojak, The Rockford Files, Jack &
Bobby, Grey's Anatomy, The West Wing
and Without A Trace. He has starred in the TV
series Century City, Cane and 141
episodes of Chicago Hope. In 2008, he is
playing Adrian Monk's new therapist in USA Network's
Monk.

Julie Andrews on "The Princess
Diaries" film series. As part of the promotional
tour, he talks about his family members, who have
Alzheimer’s
disease. Hector is joined by Alan Dengiz, MD,
Alzheimer's Expert and Director of Geriatric
Medicine at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in St. Louis.
Together they discuss the resources available and
the research going on to help families of people
with Alzheimer’s disease.
