Born in Charlotte, North Carolina, Ray Durham
has played for Major League Baseball's Chicago White
Sox (1995-2002), Oakland Athletics (2002), San
Francisco Giants (2003-2008) and Milwaukee Brewers
(2008-present).
On Sunday, July 20, 2008, Ray was traded to the
Milwaukee Brewers from the San Francisco Giants.
According to his
article in Wikipedia, Ray, who is a 2-time All-Star, is currently tied for 12th
with Brian Downing on the all-time list with
25 leadoff home runs and ranks 21st among active
players with 232 stolen bases. In the 2006 season, he
had a career high with a .297 batting average and a
.538 slugging percentage in 137 games.
