Chloe Dao is a fashion designer, who was the
winner of the second season of the reality show
Project Runway.
Born in Pakse,
Laos, the Houston, Texas native knew that she wanted to
become a fashion designer when she saw her first
episode of Style with Elsa Klensch! After
graduating Fashion Institute of Technology, Chloe
worked as a design assistant and patternmaker
for a sportswear and knit company. Since 2000, Chloe
has owned and operated Lot 8, a women's clothing
boutique in Houston.
In this
May 2007 interview, host Cindy
Rhodes speaks to
the former reality contestant about winning the top
prize on the Bravo TV series and how it changed her
life.
As part of the promotional tour*,
Chloe reveals how women and girls of all shapes and
sizes can dress with confidence this summer,
and how viewers can support self-esteem with the
first-ever Sleeveless-Ready Celebrity Auction.
Celebrities, including Tyra Banks, Jennifer Hudson,
Felicity Huffman, Elle Macpherson, Queen Latifah,
and previous Sidewalks guest Stacy London, are
partnering with Dove Deodorant by personalizing and
autographing sleeveless shirts. The shirts will be
auctioned off to help raise money for self-esteem
during the Dove sponsored Sleeveless Ready Celebrity
Auction.
