Mini-Biography
Born in Newport, California, Carmindy Kathryn Bowyer
is known as Carmindy, an make-up artist to
the stars.
Carmindy has painted faces in the studios of Paris,
on the beaches of Brazil, and on the streets of
Havana and has lived in Los Angeles, New York City,
Miami, and Milan where she has established herself
as the most famous fashion makeup artist.
On TV, she teaches about the latest makeup tips and
tricks on TLC's series, What Not to Wear.
Carmindy's work can be seen on the editorial pages
of such prestigious magazines as “O”. “Marie
Claire”, “In Style”, “Essence”, “Self” “Glamour”,
“Elle”, “Cosmopolitan”, “Lucky”, and “Seventeen”;
and her commercial clients include Maybelline,
CoverGirl, Sephora, Avon, Clairol, Aveeno, Almay,
Bath and Body Works, Sally Hansen, and CIBA.
Additionally, Carmindy is the author of three
beauty books, entitled “The 5 Minute Face”, “Get
Positively Beautiful”, and “Crazy Busy Beautiful.”
Carmindy has co-created a natural line of cosmetics
called Sally Hansen Natural Beauty inspired by
Carmindy.
