Born in Topeka, Kansas, film and theatre actress
Annette Bening had a break-through role in 1990
with "The Grifters," where she was nominated with an
Academy AwardŽ for Best Supporting Actress.
Additionally, she received a Best Supporting Actress
award from the National Society of Film Critics and
her first BAFTA Award nomination.
Annette's other headlining roles in her career were
"Bugsy", "American Beauty," "Being Julia," "The
American President," and "Running with Scissors."
Annette's performance in the TV-movie, "Mrs.
Harris," earned her Golden GlobeŽ, Screen Actors
GuildŽ, and Emmy AwardŽ nominations.
Married to actor and director Warren Beatty, her
other films include "Mother and Child," "Postcards
from the Edge," "What Planet Are You From?,"
"Regarding Henry," "Mars Attacks!," "Love Affair,"
