Laila is fighting for a different cause:
knockout children’s hunger
The daughter of boxing legend and humanitarian
Muhammad Ali, Laila Ali is a champion
athlete in her own right.
Laila made her
professional boxing debut on October 8, 1999. She is
the current undefeated Super Middleweight Boxing
Champion of the world with a 24-0 record, with 21
knock-outs.
Laila is also a recognized expert on health, beauty
and fitness issues and she co-produced a
best-selling series of fitness videos with boxing
legend Sugar Ray Leonard.
In 2007, she was named one of People magazine’s “100
Most Beautiful People.” Additionally, she competed
on the fourth cycle of ABC's Dancing With
The Stars. Laila and her dance partner,
Maksim Chmerkovskiy came in third place in the
competition.
In 2008, Laila is hosting two TV shows NBC's
American Gladiators
and
The N's Student Body. Additionally, she
is contributing correspondent on CBS' The Early
Show.
As part of the promotional tour, Laila talks about
teaming up with America’s Second Harvest and Uncle
Ben’s to support the Kids Café program, a
multi-year, million dollar service that offer free,
healthy meals and snacks to children who might
otherwise go hungry.
