Guest News: Goodbye V, Brother & Sisters, more

Fans of ABC shows are going to be upset — joining Fox fans — with more sad news this week. ABC announced some cancellations.

Elizabeth Mitchell

According to various news outlets, including TV Line, the Disney-owned network gave the ax to long-running Brothers & Sisters, as well as the 2nd season show, V. Other shows to disappear are freshman entries No Ordinary Family, Off the Map, Better With You,  Detroit 1-8-7 and Mr. Sunshine.

The ending of V is a disappointment for the crew of Sidewalks Entertainment. This past April at WonderCon, we helped in the promotion of the reimagined sci-fi series with interviews with series lead Elizabeth Mitchell and what would be a recurring role for original V actor Marc Singer. We also had a popular interview with V executive producer / showrunner Scott Rosenbaum, who talked about joining the show and his plans for a third season.

NBC also announced that The Event and Law & Order: LA are cancelled. Although it appeared to be ending with low ratings, Chuck is going to live on for a fifth and final season. One reason to be happy. One of our favorite shows is not cancelled.

Were one of these shows your favorite?
