On Saturday, January 21, 2006,
a 22-year-old Tulsa, Oklahoma native and
University of Oklahoma graduate who majored in
elementary education was crowned MISS AMERICA
2006 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Here she is: Jennifer Barry.
Jennifer's platform issue was building
intolerance to drunk driving and underage
drinking, while her scholastic ambition is to
obtain a Masters’ Degree in Education with the
goal of becoming an elementary school teacher.
In this March 2006 interview taped at Grand
Central Station in New York City, Jennifer is
joined by “Make-up Artist to the Stars” Mally
Roncal, whose celebrity clients
include Angelina Jolie, Ashlee Simpson, Jennifer
Lopez, Beyonce, Destiny’s Child, Celine Dion,
Maggie Gyllenhall, Kelly Osbourne, Kimora Lee
Simmons, Thalia, and Lisa Kudrow among many

Together they offer women of all ages quick and
simple makeup tips and “star-studded” beauty
secrets, enabling them to achieve a stylish
spring look in five minutes or less.
In addition, Jennifer and Mally revealed to
host Cindy Rhodes and Sidewalks viewers on how they can become involved in
the Q-Tips Beauty Marathon to support the Step Up
Women’s Network, a non-profit organization dedicated
to strengthening community resources for women and
girls centering on three distinct areas: women’s
health, domestic violence prevention, and mentoring. |
