In
the forthcoming film, "Constellation" chronicles the
lives and loves of an African-American family in
the deep South as they are forced to come to
terms with a tumultuous past marked by an
unrequited interacial affair.
The film, starring Gabrielle Union, Billy Dee Williams,
Lesley Ann Warren, Hill Harper, Rae Dawn Chong, and
Clarence
Williams III, explores
the way in which the family patriarch must
confront his demons amidst the changing racial
fabric of society and his own family.
On January 16, 2006, the Sidewalks crew
-- hosts Rafael Siegel and Eve Galazin,
production crew members Harry Iha and Chere
Beasley, and creator Richard R. Lee --
videotaped exclusive interviews with director
Jordan Walker-Pearlman and actress Rae
Dawn Chong, who plays Jenita.
Stars for Katrina Benefit
The special screening of the film at the Metreon, Action
Theater in San Francisco, CA., was also a
benefit called Stars for Katrina II, which
helped Bay Area families relocated by the Gulf
Coast Hurricanes. Jacquie Taliaferro
