Former on-air reporter made her
television debut on Sidewalks
A student majoring in Radio / Television at San
Francisco State University, Nadine Toren's
career goal was to be a TV reporter.
Nadine was the first member of a new on-going
opportunity for rising student reporters to get
their first taste of developing story packages
through Sidewalks.
She interned with KGO-TV, the ABC Network
affiliate, for six months and was able to get a
taste of news reporting. Additionally, she worked at the
CNN bureau in San Francisco where she spent a
lot of time going on shoots and learning about
cable broadcasting.
Nadine’s Sidewalks assignment was
at WonderCon, the popular comic, sci-fi and
fantasy convention. Besides crafting her
first story package, she also interviewed a pair
of classic TV stars: actress Noel Neill,
the original Lois Lane of The Adventures of
Superman and actor Jon Provost, who
played Timmy on Lassie.
Nadine is now a reporter at CBS affiliate,
KSWT-TV, in Yuma, Arizona.
