Job Description: 
Our award winning Entertainment Television show (Sidewalks Entertainment) is looking for a smart and savvy Sales Professional to provide part-time, marketing and sales for our upstart Corporation located in the San Francisco East Bay. 

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university in marketing, advertising, sales and/or broadcasting or equivalent combination of work experience in Media Sales environment. Salary is commission based. Activities include but are not limited to:

  • Generate new business through sales activities such as prospecting, cold calling and relationship building.

  • Demonstrated success in conducting sales and closing deals.

  • Compiling self-sourced lists of prospects for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories and other sources.

  • Develop a strategic marketing plan to identify targeted area of opportunity including speaking engagements, conferences, web-enabled tools, website, strategic partnerships etc., that increase exposure, brand identity, profits and value for Sidewalks Entertainment, Inc.

  • Some travel throughout Bay Area to call on prospective clients but primary means of communication will be via telephone and email.

  • Presents or demonstrates Sidewalks programming using Power Point presentations, video tape and other sales pieces provided.

  • Negotiates rates with clients. Prepares contract for closed sales.

  • Ability to remain focused, productive and organized with strong writing, public speaking and communication skills.

The show has introduced over two hundred, diverse types of musical, artistic, cultural and novelty acts from the Bay Area; interviewed and spotlighted celebrities and recording artists; and featured essential career advice for rising talents by the stars and industry professionals. This is a straight commission position with opportunities for benefits and stock options as the Business grows. We need targeted abilities to move our television project forward.
