SIDEWALKS host Richard R. Lee talks to actress Brie Larson about getting her start, when she is planning to go back to singing, what she likes to do when she’s not working, and preparing and working on “Room” with young co-star Jacob Tremblay.

Born in Sacramento, California, Brie Larson’s breakthrough role was starring n the film, “Short Term 12.” She started her career as a child star, when she appeared in sketches for “the Tonight Show with Jay Leno.” Some of her film credits include “Sleepover,” “13 Going on 30,” “Greenberg,” “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World,” “Rampart ,” “21 Jump Street,” ”Don Jon,” and “The Spectacular Now.” She was also a series regular on “United States of Tara,” playing Katherine “Kate” Gregson. Larson also has a singing career. She released her debut album, “Finally Out of P.E.” in 2005.
